挪威ASA航空公司停飛波音787，等待波音公司針對一個飛機技術上的問題，檢查的結果。航空公司沒有進一步說明所謂技術上的問題是甚麼意思。

ASA是廉價航空公司，它向波音公司訂購了八架787，已經拿到兩架，波音787負責斯德哥爾摩到紐約以及曼谷間的長程航線。

波音787是全球第一架採取輕質合成原料打造機身的民航機，波音宣稱它比傳統的飛機，省油兩成，營運成本低三成，它採用的鋰電池，比傳統的飛機用電瓶，不但比較輕，而且充電更快，容量也更大，不過上路後不久，就接二連三出狀況，迫使787停飛，波音歷經四個月的努力，解決了電瓶設計瑕疵之後，787恢復飛航。不過，七月間，又有一架衣索匹亞航空公司的787，在停靠倫敦希斯洛機場時起火，波蘭也有業者反應機件有問題，上個月，全日空與日航也因為與電池無關的問題，短暫停飛波音787。
